3. Mandate of Heaven- traditional Chinese philosophical concept concerning the legitimacy
4. Calligraphy- decorative handwritten or handwriting lettering
5. Dynastic Cycle- important political theory in the Chinese history
6. Confucianism- system of philosophical and ethical teachings
7. Taoism- a Chinese philosophy base on the writings of Lao-tzu

Quin Dynasty

Contributions:

• Great Wall of China was built to protect China from barbarian invasion.

Han Dynasty

Contributions:

Silk Road

A historically important international trade route between China and the Mediterranean. Because silk comprised a large proportion of trade along this road, in 1877, it was named 'the Silk Road' by Ferdinand von Richthofen, an eminent German geographer.

Papermaking

Chinese paper making was introduced to Korea and Vietnam and later to Japan at the beginning of the 3rd century. It was a valued export in Silk Road trading, but the manufacturing process was kept secret.

• They opened schools around the country to train the scholars in Confucianism.

Sung Dynasty

Chinese Opera
 Song and dance which, together with the colorful costumes, make-up, acrobats, jesters, storytellers, acting, poetry and martial arts combine to present the Opera in a very attractive way.

Bone-hard ceramic made of a special clay and a mineral found only in China.
Impact:
A precious export

Block Printing; a block on which a whole page is cut movable type: individual characters arranged in frames, used over and over.

It spread to Korea and Japan,after years in Europe.

A powder made from saltpeter,sulfur,and charcoal(mix)
Impact:
Used for fireworks and weapons.

Paper Money
Paper issued by the Sung government 
Impact:
Large scale commercial economy in China.

Floating magnetized needle that always point north-south.
Impact:
Technology are easily spread.









Yuan Dynasty
Contributions:

• Extended the Grand Canal and paved the highway from Hang Zhou to Beijing.

Realization:

I realize that all there contributions in terms of arts, technology and literature and other things they brought to the other countries is still existing at present and we are still using until now.
